About

Born and raised in the city of San Francisco, Boogie Brown started DJing back in 1989, at a time when the mobile DJ scene flourished in the Bay Area. He was heavily influenced to start DJing after watching a friend's older brother mix records in their garage one day. Since then, he's been on his grind making a name for himself in the Bay Area's DJ and hip hop scene. From doing mobile gigs and house parties in high school; to his college radio show "Wild Style Wednesdays" on KSUH; to rocking nightclubs all over the Bay Area and beyond; and onto producing mixtapes and remixes.

Growing up during hip hop's golden era has influenced his views on music and DJing immensely. DJing and hip hop has been a passion that he has pursued on stage and behind the scenes. He learned the ropes and business aspect of DJing and organizing events while at HYPE! Bookings and Management Agency. Since then, he's been involved in throwing some of San Francisco's hottest parties with his crews The Formula and Get Live SF. Currently, you can catch Boogie Brown playing anything from hip hop, dancehall, soul, and breaks at numerous clubs and lounges across the Bay Area.
